It provides important incentives and fosters an exchange of knowledge that extends beyond professional and geographical boundaries. Its intellectual, organisational and financial independence allow it to assess and support projects and ideas irrespective of their origin.
At the end of February 2005, the Canton of Zurich gave the Careum Foundation, together with its three partners, Kalaidos, Neumünster and the Eleonorenstiftung, the mandate to manage the training centre for healthcare professions in Zurich City.
Through its activities, the Foundation aims to make a significant contribution to the development of training for healthcare professions, most particularly in the field of nursing.
